I was looking for info on old basements…and read your comments about the spiders that jump at your face.

I’ve encountered those here in St. Paul, and they freak me out. I call them Kamikaze spiders. I do my best to trap bugs in jars and let them outside, but these things refuse to be caught; they’d rather take a suicidal leap.

I’ve had a camera in my hand since the kids were born. I found out that I love capturing that moment.

Then, this year, I finally was able to get a really good camera, not just a point and shoot. In preparation for that I took a photography class at a community learning organization.

And…

I got a book on composition
I got a book on digital photography
I got Photoshop
I got a book on Photoshop
I joined a local photography group

And…

We go out, and we shoot, and we learn from each other, and we shoot some more.

And…

I PLAY with it. I love it, and I’m having fun with it.
